Production partner for immersive projects
From idea to audience
From idea to audience
You have a strong idea for an exhibition, heritage project, or public experience. But how do you get it realized? Studio Immersief helps museums, heritage organizations, and cultural institutions develop, organize, and realize their ideas.
Many museums, heritage organizations, cultural institutions, and governments do not get stuck on the content.
They get stuck on the next step.
There is a good story. A special collection. An ambition to reach new audiences. An idea for an exhibition, audio experience, heritage experience, or digital project.
But how do you translate that into an experience that actually reaches people?
How do you organize partners, technology, planning, financing, and production without losing sight of the content?
That is where Studio Immersief comes in.
From idea to audience
We help organizations turn ideas into reality.
Not by taking over the content, but by strengthening it and translating it into a public experience that captivates.
We combine production expertise with artistic sensitivity, knowledge of heritage and culture, and experience with immersive mediums such as audio, digital layers, interactive storytelling, and location-based experiences.
This allows us to bridge the gap between content experts, creators, technicians, funders, and administrators.
Do you recognize this?
We have a strong idea, but no experience with immersive productions.
We want to develop an exhibition, audio experience, or public experience, but don't know where to start.
We are looking for a partner who understands both content and execution.
We want to reach new target audiences without simplifying the content.
We have multiple partners at the table and are looking for someone to keep an overview.
We are looking for a producer who can guide the process from idea to realization.
If any of these questions sound familiar, we would love to think along with you.
Projects we developed and realized
Some projects start with a client who has a question.
Others arise from a shared ambition with partners.
In all cases, we help translate complex stories, social themes, and heritage issues into public experiences that touch, activate, and spark conversation.

Tracing Thomas
in collaboration with Forteiland IJmuiden and Fort 1881.
How do you connect young people with the history of the Second World War?
With Tracing Thomas, we developed a three-hour immersive theater experience in which participants actively become part of the story. Through location, gamification, and experience, a personal connection is made with historical events that often seem far removed from young people.

Schokland - No way back
commissioned by the Zuiderzeemuseum.
How do you make a heritage story relevant to current social issues?
For the Zuiderzeemuseum, we translated the story of the former island of Schokland to contemporary climate issues. Using virtual reality, visitors experience how historical choices and current challenges are interconnected.

Op klompen door de dessa (On wooden shoes through the dessa)
in collaboration with Netwerk Oorlogsbronnen and Indisch Herinneringscentrum
How do you make digitized heritage accessible to a wide audience?
For this project, we translated historical source material from Dutch soldiers in Indonesia (1945-1949) into an immersive public experience. The result makes a complex and sensitive chapter of history accessible to new generations of visitors.

Layering Histories
Research project in collaboration with the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences
How do you develop immersive experiences in a responsible and polyphonic way?
Within Layering Histories, we collaborate with partners to explore how museums and heritage institutions can use immersive tools without losing historical nuance, context, or polyphony. The project connects research, practice, and audience development.
What we do
Depending on the phase a project is in, we support with:
concept development
audience-oriented translation
project development
production coordination
selection of creators and technical partners
subsidy and funding exploration
stakeholder management
realization and delivery
Sometimes we guide a project from the initial exploration.
Sometimes we step in when the concept is already complete and needs execution.
Not a standard agency
Studio Immersief is not a traditional communication agency, technical production house, or consultancy firm.
We operate between content, creation, and realization.
As a result, we understand both the value of a historical story and the practical challenges of a production process.
Our clients value us because we make complex projects manageable, connect people, and actually get ideas realized.
For whom
We work for, among others:
museums
heritage organizations
cultural institutions
